About the AP Chinese Language and Culture

• Approximately 2 hours 15 minutes.
• Exam is answered using the computer. (Student may use paper for notes, but these will be collected after.)
• Can choose to read in Traditional or Simplified Chinese
• May choose to type responses either in Pinyin or Bopomofo.

• Listening - Identify the appropriate continuation of a conversation.  Answer questions on different kinds of listening stimuli.
• Reading - Answer questions about different reading texts.

• Writing - Write a story as suggested by a series of pictures.  Student will also read and answer an e-mail message.
• Speaking -  Respond to simulated conversation.  Student will make a presentation on a given aspect of Chinese culture.
