I bought the “Baby Learns Chinese” bundle for my son and we’ve only started on volume one, but I can tell he loves the DVD. He’s very engaged when I turn on the DVD for him. He seems to be learning even though he is only 5 months old. I really like the format of the DVD, how they show the words and then follow it with pictures. In addition, my son loves the songs (he waves his arms up in the air whenever the song comes on). I really like the fact that they are in reference to what he has just learned. I’m hoping that by the time he learns how to talk, he’ll be singing those songs to me. I can’t wait to progress him onto the other volumes.

Loved the Baby Learns Chinese characters |

My toddlers (4 and 2) loved the Baby Learns Chinese characters on the DVDs. Each DVD was presented in an easy to learn format [like a Chinese version of the Baby Einstein DVDs] with optional traditional and simplified character menu options. The repetitive lessons and quaint nursery songs both reinforce topic vocabulary words well.

It is a great supplemental tool for my three-year-old son. It is easy to learn. He didn't pay much attention in his Chinese class in school. So, I tried this DVD at home to get his attention learning Chinese vocabuaries.

This is right along the lines of Baby Einstein - so great for little kids. It is a great learning tool for me to watch with my child, however, my almost 3 year old is a little bored by it. She prefers Bao Bei or LIttle Pim to this series. I wish I would have had it when she was 12 - 24 months old.

We got this by accident when ordering a different dvd, and we are very glad. It covers many of the same subjects as other dvds: body parts, counting, colors, etc and I thought it would be redundant. Instead I find it to be a wonderful reinforcement for my son (nearly 3) and I. At first the animations seem simplistic, but soon one realises they are also sophisticated. The little black dots appearing and disappearing turn out to be a little man playing peekaboo... but by the time you've figured it out, you are staring intently at the screen. My son is entranced and giggling by the time they progress to actually naming "eye" and showing the characters and photos. The photo images are coffeetable book quality. Just stunning. It is always very clear what they are naming, and one is so drawn in, one learns effortlessly. A beautiful dvd. I look forward to seeing the others in this series.
