Chinese Moon Festival Teaching Resources including Lesson Plans,Worksheets, and more!


The Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, falls on the 15th day of the 8th Lunar Month.  This year, Moon Festival will be held on September 22, 2010.

In this section, you can find different resources to learn more about this Chinese festival.

There is a lesson plan for teachers and several exercise worksheets for students.  There are word scrambles, matching exercises and word searches to learn more about cultural icons related to the Chinese Moon Festival.  There is also a  traditional dice game played by families during Moon Festival.  Dice are thrown to win moon cakes and other prizes.
