Chinese for Everyone by Marie-Laure de Shazer.
Softcover. 166 pages
Many thousands of people have tried to learn a language using the
most typical methods - studying grammar or rote memory. While these
methods work for some people, many others struggle. They find these
learning methods don't work well for them. The structure and content of
"Chinese For Everyone" applies the methods of learning people use
everyday. The research of Karl Jung and Howard Gardner is leveraged in
this book to help you learn the same way you perceive the world;
through sensing and intuition.
Learning a language can be an enjoyable undertaking. Learning Chinese
is no exception. To help in your journey from beginner to intermediate
Chinese, your preferred style of learning will be found in each of the
31 chapters and in the different activities. Your experience will be
enhanced and made enjoyable as you practice your most effective
learning styles. The different learning tools include illustrations,
vocabulary, pronunciation, dialogues, grammar notes, exercises,
puzzles, creative activities and culture. The activities are designed
to enable you to reach the beginner to upper intermediate level. This
can form a good basis to prepare for either the HSK (the Hanyu Shuiping
Kaoshi exam is a Chinese proficiency test) or Advanced Placements
tests.
