What a wonderful take on the old story of Red Riding Hood. I like the kids being wise and responsible.

The cover is a bit scary looking and at first put me off. Then I read it was an award winner and bought it for my grand daughter. I can see why it's an award winner and so popular with teachers. It's fun to have your child/students compare the traditional red riding hood story with Lon Po Po. Very well done illustrations and story.

I loved it! In some ways, this story makes more sense than the European Red Riding Hood. Excellent book.
