Bad book to learn from |

Unfortunately this book doesn't follow the simple winning formula of the first two Mandy and Pandy books.
There are not simple sentences like "I like basketball" but rather "Let's play basketball with Kyle!", which has 12 characters in chinese. I have been learning chinese for 2 years so I can pick out which mean Kyle ( kai er ) , "let's", "play" "basket' and "ball" but a beginner wouldn't have a clue.
Here things are further confused by sentences like "wow! he can slam dunk!" (my 3 yr old doesn't have a clue what slam dunk is).
There are also many errors in the reading on the cd: sometimes "rang" is said but not written. The title says " Man di he da xiong mao pan di" in the book, but it is read "Man di he pan di".
All in all, did not hold my son's interest nor mine, hard to decipher what parts of a sentence mean what, and vocab is not introduced or properly illustrated.
Not recommended.
