Boring book for toddler/preschooler |

Unlike the excellent first two books, this book is not recommended.
The sentences are very long, multiple verbs including future tense, and the english and mandarin don't say the same things. (ie "This wall" in english, "Great Wal"l in chinese)
Concepts and vocab aren't toddler friendly: "Let's go shopping on the famous Bund Street" tells us nothing about Bund Street (the image is of Shanghai skyline), and even an adult would want to know why Bund Street is attractive (ie they sell silk? food?)
There are no labels next to objects to indicate what chinese characters or words correspond. Ie " This is the city of Xi'an" "Here we can see statues of ancient Terra-Cotta Warriors". But we don't know which word means statue, or warriors, or terra-cotta. And there is no image of a city.
Bad as a travel book for adults. Bad as a learning book for beginners. Bad as a board book for children.
