Fun bilingual board book for toddlers/preschoolers |

Simple, engaging sentences invite a child to eat, play, meet friends and sleep with Mandy and Pandy. The sentence "wo xihuan" (i like) is repeated for eating, playing in snow, water, playground, and individual vocab words are labelled next to (not accomplished but clear) colorful images. Thus many sentences can be easily assembled.
The vocab is child appropriate: splash, swim, jump, icecream, fries, collect leaves, slide.
The cd explains the writer's approach, then reads the story alternating English sentence and Mandarin sentence, then several times over in increasingly fast mandarin. This makes it easy to understand and the repetition makes it easy to remember.
I would have preferred if the cds were in separate boxes not in the book cover, as board books are meant to be little-hand friendly.
Recommended.
Please see my reviews of the set and other three books.
