I liked that this book covered many important Chinese holidays and included not only descriptions, but folklore. Having recipes are nice, I didn't try them. I wished there were more activities. The activities were inconsistent in terms of age that they were geared for. The end of the book has a pronounciation guide, which was okay.

I really liked the big fonts for the stories. I also liked the recipes & the projects listed in the book. They seemed easy to make. This would be a great book to read aloud to my students so they can learn about Chinese culture. I will also try some of the projects listed in the book so my students can make them in class.

My daughter and I have very much enjoyed reading the stories in this book. The illustrations are colourful and the activities and recipes are modified to be easy to do.

We adopted our daughter from China. I wanted to learn more about Moon Harvest Festival so we could celebrate it every year as our tradition to honor her heritage. It was a helpful book with recipes and stories. We had fun!
