The Great Wall -Adventures of Walker and Ping-Ping

The series debut brings to life each of the star characters for the first time as they set out to explore the 4,000 miles of the Great Wall.  From the Gobi desert to the Bohai Sea, Walker, Ping Ping, Grandpa Joss and Jack make new pengyou (friends), including a Great Wall guard and a desert merchant.  The adventure comes to an abrupt stop when a sand storm overwhelms the group while on camel back in the desert.

Designed to appeal to a wide range of viewers, children and their parents will be entertained and educated by this exciting new adventure learning series.

The Adventures of Walker & Ping Ping is set in China, one of the world’s most dynamic and rapidly growing economies and a significant source of source of cultural and economic exchange with the West.  Western interest in Chinese language and culture is growing by leaps and bounds, particularly for the next generation, as the century of China begins to unfold.  In the U.S., Chinese language and history is being introduced in an increasing number of secondary schools, Chinese teachers are in short supply, and early learning classes are frequently oversubscribed.  The series was developed to give early primary school kids a head start in learning about Chinese culture, language and history.

English please" and I thought an animated adventure tale about China for older children might pique his appetite.||What an excellent choice this dvd was. We both loved it and he wanted to watch it a

Along with "the river dragon king" walker and ping ping series are great.||I wish there are more of these dvds- fun and effective.||I believe you need to study the country's history and culture to be fluent in a foreign lanuage and I especailly like this dvd because of that.
