Contains two stories:  The Mason and Jin Zuan.

The Mason:  A mason was never satisfied but always wanted to be someone, or something more powerful.  After many metamorphoses, he at last became a hard-working mason again and won respect from the local people.

Jin Zuan:  A young mason, Jin Zuan found a way to bring sweet water to his village.  For generations, the people in Jin Zuan's home town drank bitter water or had to carry sweet water from a place more than a hundred miles away.  Jin Zuan discovered a piece of shining marble and carved it into a stone ram.  Every night this mysterious creature carried sweet water to the village.
