VCD's are common in Taiwan and China. They can be played on computers using the CD Rom Drive and some DVD Players.  Not all DVD players can play VCD's.  VCD's are equivalent to the old VHS tapes in quality and can hold up to just over an hour of video.  VCD's usually are in Mandarin and don't have sub-titles in English.
