Lon Po Po A  Red Riding Hood Story from China  by Ed Young

A haunting Chinese rendition of the classic tale of "Little Red Riding Hood" follows the adventures of young Shang, Tao, and Paotze.  The three sisters staying home alone are endangered by a hungry wolf who is disguised as their grandmother.  Their mother is away visiting their grandmother for her birthday.  So the three sisters need to defend themselves against the wolf!  Great story for students to compare to the European version of Little Red Riding Hood.  A favorite in the classroom.
