Hi everyone.

I'd like to tell everybody that we have new Chinese coloring pictures for the kids and the kids at heart.

Most of them are about Chinese minor festivals, plus one universal special event.

The new coloring pictures are about :

• Chinese Valentines Day - This year, it's August 20 or 26? I see two dates in different sites. But anyway, the important thing is that Weaving Maid and her hubby Cowherd can meet up for this year.
• Hungry Ghost Festival - That special time of the year when we remember our loved ones who passed on and also pay our respects to our ancestors.
• Chinese Father's Day - Yup, they have their own celebration for fathers.
• Mother's Day - Finished already for this year, but these can be used for mom's birthday or any special day. Of course, next thing you know it's already Mother's Day 2010 so keep ChildBook in mind if you want to make cards for mom or dad.

We make an effort to have coloring pictures made so that the children can have fun with coloring while parents get the chance to teach a little about the Chinese culture. So far we have over 100 coloring pages that the children can enjoy.

What a wonderful idea! And so polite to ask! An E-Mail I received this morning.

Instead of Christmas cards, I usually send the other families who adopted with me in our agency group (13 families in all) a Chinese New Year card that I make, but when I saw your nice coloring pages I thought it would be neat to make up little coloring books to send to them, and then the girls can color them and they can be a keepsake for this year – the kids are all about 4 this year. I would only do this with permission and would not be charging money for this, and would give you and your business credit for the drawings if you give me permission to make up these little booklets. Chinese Wedding Coloring Pages one of the neatest coloring pages I have helped put together, it's on my wife's dress site and using coloring pictures and descriptions, it explains all the different parts with the Chinese Wedding Customs and Traditions.

At my wife's site, Free Chinese Wedding Coloring Pages that are Printable! . Very well done. My marriage was a mixture of Chinese and American traditions and I have been at a couple of Chinese Weddings, but the Chinese Wedding Coloring Pages has some things I did not know about before. There is so much symbolism in any wedding, be it American or Chinese, and people usually when you ask them why, say that's how we have always done it. Which for the Engineer types like me, is not a great answer ;-) The book Good Luck Life: The Essential Guide To Chinese American Celebrations And Culture helped a lot on explaining the why.

Finally, I got some more Coloring pictures done! My favorite is the Chinese Girl - This one is more for my wife's site, it looks so close to one of the Chinese Dresses QiPao's she sells.

Other pictures include two for the Moon Festival, two for the Dragon Festival, Mainland China's Flag, Chinese Miners during the Gold Rush, and one of the Great Wall of China.
