Good Starter Book for Learning Chinese Characters December 28, 2008
Reviewer: Maggie Choy from La Mirada CA U
This is a great starter book to teach your children the Chinese characters after they already have some basic conversational skills in Chinese.  The lessons demonstrate the order of the strokes as well as providing tracing for practicing.  Unfortunately my 6 yr old does not speak much in Chinese so this book is too difficult for her.  I really like the fact that there are English translations an

Not the best textbook out there December 11, 2008
Reviewer: Rita Wang from Owings Mills M

Wendy Lin's work and text books are most comprehensive containing enough English to explain the exercises without taking away from the reader that it is a Chinese book.  Each chapter is made up of a lesson e.g. Numbers Greetings Animals and so on.  As and when new characters are introduced examples are given on how these can be used in making up simple sentences.  The student is therefore able
